You certainly brought me back to my country roots with this one Jerry...and what a sweet journey it was! Firstly, I'm a drawn to lyrics. I love new ways of saying familiar things and you gifted me that. Phrases like, "How do you choose between a dream...and a dream come true", "Praying to the Trinity", and "...That falls upon the shadows, shading wrong and right." All painting the picture in this listeners inner vision. The vocal harmonies were so beautiful and blended perfectly...so pretty to listen to.
The guitar work...so beautiful. There's nothing like a 12 string adding dimension to the emotion of a song and well...I just loved it. Listening I'm thinking..."Is that a mandolin?", and then reading the sleeve I see Joe Dady sitting in with you! Haven't seen him in so long and was SO delighted! Also...just when I was wondering if there was anything more up tempo, you delivered with "Forget About You." The overall flow of the work, in my opinion anyway, was perfect.
Finally...my favorite song on the CD...and you've probably heard this before...lol. My heart truly resonated with "We Will Meet Again." Voices...instrumentals...blending...Jerry, that song is perfection. I could even picture a video because it was so rich. The organ sounding like strings just brought it to a whole different level for me and the vocals....just beautiful.
Sometimes I wish the English language held more descriptive words but I truly hope you feel how much I enjoyed this work...on everyone's part. You should be very proud of this gift you've given everyone Jerry. It had to be brilliant creating this work and to finally hear the finished product. Thank you so much!

'fade away ' almost makes me cry. Ray and you are a great team. The next one, Forget About You is a perfect Beatlesque romp through the 60's done VERY well . Eric really pumps out some great bass on that one. !!!. Still, My ego [ a typically huge and fragile musicians one] knows that ' Letting you go' is by far the 'hit' off the album. It's as perfect as any tune I've ever been lucky enough to be a part of . Thanks Jerry. You're a pal. have a wonderful Christmas. Everyone has at least some blessings. .

Ah, the lucky folks in western NY state (aside from just buying and listening to the cd I describe, you have the opportunity to see Jerry Falzone perform these and other creative offerings throughout that region)....if you have affection fo...r some of the great Eagle classics or Jackson Browne'isc songs...with harmonies riveling the Beach Boys...enjoy the opening song (title track) of Jerry new cd: "Just Before the Storm"....I love the title track...a story you'll make your own - as we each have our own oncoming storms...he captures the apprehension and resolve in each of us.....then on track 2 brings us along to a hopeful outcome to each challenge we face - giving purpose to our service to another(s)..I love it's optimism and dedication to service. In track 3 we travel to a time of memory (country flavored) and the ballad describes the difficulty of the search (a wonderful classic lament) - puts me in mind of some early Lee Clayton songs - which is to say that Jerry has constructed a well-written song (great background harmonies on this cut; 'Sweet Virginia)...on track 4, (Queen of My Heart) Jerry provides us with another country-oriented march of love-sought, love-torn and love put back together again....sweet!.....some nice solo electric in this track compliments of Ray Bellizia, I believe.....on track 5, Jerry Engler joins Falzone with a vocal in the middle of the song that with the wonderful background harmonies offered, could have you sighing...hoping....that the pleading for a lover's return will occur. Track 6 (Fade Away) is a gentle reminder of applying patience to the journey through adversity (the night)...it reinforces the value of the human contact that affords reassurance to be invited, welcomed, accepted....and settles into the gratitude and appreciation for someone extending themselves to you....nice guitar finish.....track 7 (Forget About You) is another side of the coin....in an Everly Brother's style (at least to my ear) the song marches through that cycle of awareness of another's intention...and, well, comments on it...lol....I love the style and the drums (nice going throughout this cd, Gregg Andrews)....Track 8 (Letting You Go) reminds of a Dylan intro, but then goes original with a great song commenting on the difficulty to letting go of the familiar (whether good for us or not)....sigh, don't we all have affection for the familiar (the devil we know)....great song with more meaning than some might give it at first listen (could be just my ear, but, lyrically and musically, it is one of my favorite on the cd).....Track 9 (Depending On You), is another sweet ballad that addresses the dependance we have on others....lyrics and delivery are a bit haunting, harmonies accent it so well....you can only shake your head in agreement when the words describe the difficulty we face and the reliance we have to face it in the company of a companion...nice 'Eagle-ish' background and harmony near the end and at the end - this song is another favorite for me...it has a 'big time' finish....very nice. Track 10 (We Will Meet Again)...simply put, it is among my favorites on the cd....harmonies, sentiment, lyrics and music combine for a great sense of purpose, progress and subsequently outcome...to 'meet again'.....closure for some, simply connection for others....or reconnection....I truly love it. Thanks Jerry for a fine channeling of these cosmic messages.

Hi Jerry, I thoroughly enjoyed your performance at The Space in early April, so much so that I was eager to get a copy of your CD. However, nothing on your solo voice and guitar performance prepared me for the instrumentation, the harmonies and the rich mixes I've been enjoying on your North Coast album! Your mellow, soulful music has become one of my go-to play lists, and I am eagerly looking forward to your future album. Well done!

I attended a concert you hosted six months ago or so at a church in North Greece. It
was you and three other singer-songwriters taking turns performing your original
material. I wanted to let you know that I was very impressed! The music was great,
the stage presence was great -- the whole experience was great. I wish you and your
fellow perfomers the best of fortune in your budding music careers.

Captivating! Music has always been the "window to your soul". Eloquently written and sung, each song spitirually transcends & delivers one to that place, revisiting memories along the way. "Dance with Me", "Hideaway", and "Fallen" are beautifully sung with a spiritual and serene quality suggestive of an emotional revelation. In the years of "Pearl' you rocked the stage with your presence; years later you embrace listeners with your more "Kindred Spirit". Thank you for your artistry, your gift of voice. Blessings..A fan from the past...

Jerry,
I have become a regular attendee for two years now; the coffee houses at Lakeshore and the Mez. I thank you for all the area artists you have brought for our benefit.
You have enriched my life with their music and yours.
I want to share how your latest song, "We will Meet Again" impacted me.
From the opening chords, I immediately sat upright and just knew this song was going to impact me--before you even sang any of the words. The whole song ministered to my heart and at the end I was glad I was sitting towards the back of the room so people couldn't see the flood of tears on my face.
After the concert, I shared with you how it touched me and that I want it played at my funeral.
My daughter, Melissa, was recently visiting me from Ireland, and when she heard the song, her remark was, "Mom, that is so you!"
I am grateful for knowing you, and enjoying your great talent. I'm looking forward to your 2nd CD to add to my collection.

Review: Off The North Coast: Jerry Falzone
I love this CD!!!!
For months I have been absorbing the spiritual medicine and rockin’ vibe of Jerry Falzone’s lyrics, music, and....voice.
It runs too deep to accurately describe in words. The best advice I can give is:
Buy the CD and listen to it!
"You can thank me later!" as a fan once told me.
From the first moments of the opening track, the listener is transported to another world.
Off The Noth Coast continues to be a source of great inspiration to me. I've actually worn out the CD by bringing it everywhere. Now it's on my ipod so I can relax.
"...I take my refuge wherever I can
I face the future but
I keep my back to the sand..."
Jerry Falzone writes with a rare combination of heart, soul, spirit, and mind: a complete open-hearted sharing of his (clearly) earned life wisdom.
Mr. Falzone is a highly gifted musician and he has surrounded himself (or as I beleive, God has surrounded him) with an ever-expanding group of talented musicians that compliment his work very well.
If you really listen to his lyrics you realize he is sharing of himself in a brave and generous way. Jerry and his 'Off The North Coast' CD inspires, uplifts, evokes, and transcends. And....
He's having so much fun (you have to see him live to truly get this) that you cannot help but become joyous. Or contemplative.....but you will be moved! (And you will have fun!)
--The first time I had the pleasure of seeing Jerry live was at a live music venue on a night that I was bone-tired and heading for home.
Something made me check to see who was up next. I listened online and that was that. I'd at least stay for a song or two.
Then here comes this...PERSON, who starts setting up his stage, and felt something shift inside. STAY.
When he started to PLAY i revived instantly and stayed for nearly the whole night. Big Fun!
That night began a wonderful new freindship, and sparked a fire in me that had grown a bit dim, now blazing!
-------------------------------------
Jerry Falzone manages to write lyrics that are bracingly honest, conversational, meaningful, and concise. The instrumentation and arrangements compliment his lyrics beautifully.
He has so much heart, and it shines through, a beacon of truth and trust... some shadows, and a light for us all.
And let's not forget….the man can ROCK!!
Catch him live. Grab the record. Ask him to sign it. He’s on the rise.
Parting lyrics from the last (killer) track “Never Let Me Go”.
“You’re givin’ me a smile
I thank you from my heart
For giving me a reason to make another start”
Thanks Jerry!! I look forward to our next show.
With much respect and gratitude,
Talia Paul

Jerry, Can't believe my eyes and ears. Here is one fan that has missed you since the days of the Magic Carpet in Canandaigua, late 70's. You are as fabulous now as you were back then. I ran into Carl at Midtown about ten years ago but we didn't have much of a chance to speak. Tell Debbie she is as beautiful as ever. Let me know if you remember our fun times back then. Much luck to you. Hope to get out to see you soon. Kisses to all. Roxie
